Despite talk of an exit, the Barcelona star is determined to prove doubters wrong at Camp Nou

Barcelona winger Rafinha is determined to silence his critics after a dominating performance at Camp Nou this season.

The Brazilian forward was one of the big first-team players he acquired from Blaugrana last summer.

Bear in mind that Barca spent around £ 55 million to secure the services of the 26-year-old winger from Premier League club Leeds United.

However, Rafinha performed relatively poorly in his first season as a Barcelona player, despite the high expectations surrounding his arrival.

Camp Nou

The Brazilian had an impressive 2021/22 season and was considered one of the Premier League’s most promising players.

In total, Rafinha scored 11 goals in the Premier League and provided 3 assists. He also played a key role in helping his former team Leeds United avoid relegation.

That form also sparked strong transfer interest from Arsenal and Chelsea last summer. However, the Brazilian chose to move to Spain to sign for Barcelona.

Since moving to his Nou Camp, Rafinha has failed to secure his spot in the regular starting lineup. He has played just 708 minutes in La Liga from head coach Xavi Hernández this season.

He has scored four goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for Barcelona this season. Rafinha is also behind Ousmane Dembele, Xavi’s preferred starter on the right wing.

There are also recent reports that the Spanish giants may be ready to acquire Rafinha if the Brazilian gets the right offer.

However, the winger seems eager to turn things around at Kamphi Nou and prove the skeptics wrong. Rafinha also has no plans to leave the club anytime soon, as seen on BarcaUniversal.
