US actor Jeremy Renner has not had surgery but is in critical condition after an accident involving a snowplow, his publicist said.
Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and is in intensive care, Samantha Mast said in a statement to US media Monday night.
He was rushed to the hospital Sunday after an accident while plowing snow outside his home in Nevada.

“Jeremy’s family is extremely grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses who are taking care of him,” spokesman Masto said in a statement. The family also thanked the local police and fire departments, saying they were “very overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support from his fans.”
Before the accident, Renner was reportedly using his snowplow to clear the street in front of his home in Reno, Nevada.
He was the only person involved in the incident, a 51-year-old man, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, adding that it is under investigation.
