SportsAs Man City star Erling Haaland returns to form, Harry Redknapp explains what separates him from the rest

Erling Haaland returned to the top of his game over the weekend, scoring an incredible hat-trick to inspire Manchester City to a 3-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League.

Following that performance, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp explained what sets the Norwegian player apart from the rest.

After a great start to the season, Haaland entered a lean phase at the turn of the year, closing the gap to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Southampton. However, the striker scored a goal in the Premier League against Spurs in his league on 19 January, and he scored once as City won his hard-fought 4–2 victory.

Over the weekend, he went one step further and scored all three goals for Cityzens against Wolves at the Etihad. This earned him praise from many, including Harry Redknapp, who called him a goalscorer in an exclusive interview with Bette Victor.

“Another hat trick at the weekend for the goal machine,” the former Spurs head coach said. “By his standards, he’s been quiet in recent weeks, but he certainly looked back to his best here.”

Discussing what sets Erling Haaland apart from other players, Redknapp explained that the Norwegian’s movement and desire to find the back of the net place him in an exclusive league.

“His movement is almost unstoppable, and his desire to score is what separates him from the rest. We could be looking at a record-breaking season from him,” he said.

Haaland is expected to once again lead City’s attack when they face Arsenal on Friday (27 January).

The two sides meet in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the Etihad and promise to be an exciting encounter. It remains to be seen if he will continue his excellent goalscoring form against the Gunners.
